Considering how much better a Navy SEAL can no doubt do than a Brit or Frenchman, I'd say we'd still be better off with attacking the enemy with chimps than with either the British or the French. :D

Just had a check at the entry reqirements to be a Navy SEAL

40 push ups in 2 minutes
6 pull ups (untimed)
1.5 mile run in boots and long pants in 9 mins 30.

My grandma can be a Navy SEAL!!!!

Compared to British Special Air Service where

Carrying 80lbs and a rifle take a long distance hike
A "short" 8 mile timed run
"Underake a combat phase using live ammunition because they are trained to fight while considering friendly positions from the start, so that they can carry this straight on to the battlefield: 'You only get one chance'."

They then undergo "physical and mental torture" as well as "aggressive interrogation" during a survival phase.

funny...early 80's when i enlisted, i had to carry not only my duffel, but a wireless teletype (i was a comm center operator) along with about another 30 lbs of cypher material, and expected to run during live fire exercises...now you're telling me i coulda been a seal?
