That Dell that I loved so much had a major meltdown, fried motherboard just 2 months out of warranty and I have decided not to replace it for a while. Fact is I was wasting too much time with the damn thing so I decided to try something many others do on a regular basis, get a life.

Don't think you are rid of me, I will occasionally log on through a friends machine or public terminal somewhere. In the meantime continue to be the pack of dysfunctional shitfucks I have grown to love.

Get an air card.

While mobile, spend normally useless time either sitting in traffic or sitting in airports or sitting waiting for meetings or whatever, bullshitting with us.

I've been at boring meetings surfing the net. Most think I am taking notes.

Boat Anchor home systems are going the way of the Dinosaur, IMO.
I sometimes try this board while using my Blackberry, but that's too much of a pain in the ass.

Absolutely true. You get an absolute shit graphics card unless you tell them you play games or take pictures, and from what I've heard even then it's not a very good one. It's the same with the rest of your hardware.

They hardly ever put the highest end graphics card in, it's always the GT version or whatever they call the current value product in the series.

I want to call Dell and when they ask me what I'm going to do with it, I'll tell them this:
"3.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, NVidia GEforce at least 512MB VRAM, 1 TB HDD (preferably Western Digital), 4 GB RAM, 2 DVD+/-/RW/CDRW drives, 17" LCD display, Built in WiFi (preferably Linksys), and I want you to MAKE IT work with Ubuntu 8.04."
