Default Metta World Peace ejected for elbow to James Harden's head

The idiot that was born Ron Artest threw what was 1 inch and maybe 5 lbs more of torque and would have possibly if it had NOT been deflected been what could have been a killing blow and claimed it was just a celebratory move. We are in the right place, Bullshit.

This should cost him a hundred thousand or more, suspension from the rest of the short season and the playoffs and full probation for 1 year. It should also cost him an Olympic berth as a player from a team who has lost Dwight Howard already.

No real need for the article, here is the video from Youtube.

Starting at 1 minute in the video is the best look at the intentional blow. I am glad it was deflected by the shoulder area which took 20% of the strength of the blow away and altered the location just enough.

Metta World Peace? He is a fucking disgrace and should be banned for life from the NBA. I don't care what Hardin may have said if anything, that was a dumb move by a stupid asshole.

If I was the owner, I think I would even if it hurt the talent pool of my team. You know things that are right have to start somewhere. It is just basketball isn't it? Oh hell no it's NOT. He has had enough chances. If it was his first incident, I would hope the league would suspend him for the reminder of the season, the playoffs and put him on probation for the next year. If NOT, then I would. I would mandate he take training to stop this from happening again. Talky talky with therapist? Oh no, NOT unless corporal correction is done by martial therapist.....LOL You know, you receive what you dish out!

Kids follow examples to some extent. I know I wanted to be like my sports heroes growing up. The NBA is NOT doing enough to stop these type of actions, at least in the past. Get serious with him and start leading by example. It is time for all forms of leadership to start shutting down this type of bullshit. If that bitch wants to throw elbows, go into MMA.

Yep, I'd fire his ass for actions detrimental to the team and to the league and to the sport. His past actions and this, I'd sure take my chances in court when he sued, along with a counter suit of course.

It could hurt his bottom line in the business, but of course there is that Karma type thingy I certainly believe in.

I see no reason, nonwhatsoever, to allow this idiot to play for any team either now or in the future.

If he can't show good sportsmanship when he does something good, in this case that basket, then he damned sure can't be expected to show good sportsmanship when something doesn't go his way.

I say fire his ass and ban him from the game.

Default Metta World Peace Suspended 7 Games for Elbow

7 freaking games. Suspended for 7 freaking games. At least if LA advances in the first round, it will cost him
nearly $348,000 in salary if he serves the entire suspension this year. If the Lakers exit the playoffs swiftly, the remainder of the suspension must be served next season. 7 games that Metta Piece of Shit gets that kind of cash.

World Peace still hasn't answered media questions about his actions, but he issued a brief statement on his website, promising to follow up with a podcast.

"I apologize to the Oklahoma City Thunder fans and the OKC organization," World Peace wrote on ronartest.com. "I look foward (sic) to getting back on the floor with my teammates and competing for the Lakers fans."

Commissioner David Stern alluded to Artest's lengthy history of on-court altercations and strange behavior in announcing the penalty in a statement. Although Harden appears to be recovering well, he hasn't been cleared to return to the Thunder.

"The concussion suffered by James Harden demonstrates the danger posed by violent acts of this kind, particularly when they are directed at the head area," Stern said in a statement. "We remain committed to taking necessary measures to protect the safety of NBA players, including the imposition of appropriate penalties for players with a history of on-court altercations."
Appropriate? No damn way! With his history? Giving a man a concussion for NOT doing anything at all? You are a pussy Stern.

Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak said the team accepted the latest suspension for World Peace, who has two years left on his contract with Los Angeles.

"His most recent lapse in judgment is not to be condoned or accepted," Kupchak said after praising World Peace as largely a model citizen with the Lakers.

"His actions could have seriously injured another player, and his absence during this suspension will hurt our team as well," Kupchak added. "While we accept the league's decision, we will be supportive of Metta and try to help him be more professional on the court."

Supportive? I'd support him alright, I'd fire his ass. If they somehow could make me keep him, I'd try to help him be more professional on the court alright. it would be old school baby, old school. Why do you think in general people acted better in the years past? Because you'd get your damn head busted if you were a Fuck Up like him. Nowadays, ooh coddle the punks and pet them and let them do anything they want because if you hardcore discipline punks like him, even what I call proper, you can go to jail. Punks like him who weren't lucky to have a talent for sport or anything I guess can end up going to jail dozens of times for bad behavior. No one years ago went to jail many many times. The criminal justice system is too soft on punks also.

I don't believe in abuse, but for a kid to get spanked and properly told why, (Those hour long "talks" still haunt me. well it just works. Abuse a kid and I'll kick your ass or die trying if I know about it. On one side I was taught to do right, on the other I was taught to make family do right. Metta POS, be glad you aren't my family punk. You are big, young and strong and a bad ass I bet, but you would learn, I assure you.

To the do gooders who say it is wrong to use physical punishment, you are wrong and you are responsible for the decline of society in the moral decency department. (Yes my Mom would still beat my ass for saying it that way if she were strong enough.)

Percentage wise, people overall acted far better in days past. The lack of discipline is the main reason why.
    Have a Nice Day!
